- Day 2
- Day 3
- Students were randomly assigned to be prisoners or guards. They were arrested at home and taken to the make shift prison.
- Day 4
- Prisoners rebelled by barricading themselves in the cell. The guards forced in and strip searched the prisoners.
- Day 5
- Guards became more brutal, refusing to let prisoners leave cells.
- Day 6
- One prisoner showed extreme levels of anxiety on day 3 but wasn't allowed to leave until day 4.
- Guards made prisoners clean toilets with their bare hands.
- Their power was almost total and prisoners obeyed without question. Visiting postgraduate Christina Maslach objected strongly and convinced researchers to stop study.
