- I don't want to marry Paris, please don't make me!
- Stop being so ungrateful, disobedient, and spoiled. You will marry Paris this Thursday or I will disown you.
- I wish I was unaware of the reason that Paris's and Juliet's marriage is being delayed.
- Capulet has arranged my marriage to Juliet so that she may end her mourning over Tybalt's death.
- I have a plan: You must agree to marry Paris, but the night before the wedding, you will drink a sleeping potion that will make you look dead. When they find you, they will put you to rest in the Capulet tomb. Then, I will send a messenger to Romeo to tell him to come and retrieve you once you are awake. After, you will return to Mantua with Romeo and you will be free from this mess.
- Please help me Friar Lawrence! I would rather kill myself than marry Paris.
- Friar Lawrence gives Juliet the sleeping potion and she agrees to go through with the plan.
- I am so delighted that I'm going to move the wedding to Wednesday! I will go tell Paris the news.
- Friar Lawrence has made me obedient, so I consent to marrying Paris.
- That night, she asks the Nurse and Lady Capulet to let her spend the night by herself. She is filled with doubt, but she later drinks the sleeping potion.
- What if this is actual poison? Or worse, what if it doesn't work? Then I will have to marry Paris. Of course, what if it wears off early? I might go mad with fear in the tomb.
- The next morning Juliet is found, everyone believes her to be dead but Friar Lawrence, who has come to hide the evidence.
