- Hidayah remebers how she used to always hug her mother even though she smelt of fish
- There is Hidayah, taking in the atmosphere of New York. She has come from Singapore to study here.
- Hidayah was still elated to meet her parents at the airport. She noticed her mother's hands didn't smell of fish, but of hand sanitiser used to stove off dryness in the 13 hour flight they took just to see her.
- It's a small country in south-east Asia.
- In class, Hidayah struggles to explain who she is to her classmates
- No, I'm Malaysian. I'm from Singapore
- Are you Latino?
- It's so tiring to explain who I am...
- Singapore? What's that? Is it part of China?
- I think it's near Bali. I went there during the Summer Holidays!
