- There is not a lot of water here in Africa because most of it is contaminated due to the poor treatment of our water
- How many people drink water that is contaminated?
- 1.8 billion people use a source of drinking water contaminated with faeces, putting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio.
- What percent of water is discharged back into rivers, streams, and oceans without the correct treatment?
- Over 80% of the worlds wastewater is discharged back into rivers,streams, and oceans
- How far does he run each day to get that water?
- He has to walk 3.7 miles and the bucket can weigh up to 40 pounds which is a lot.
- 1 out of every 6 people living today do not have adequate access to water, and more than double that lack basic sanitation, for which water is needed.
- Wow! That is horrible look at the water it's so polluted.
- Nearly 5,000 children each day die from diarrhea-related diseases. This toll would drop if the right treatment for water was available.
- That's horrible our society needs to do something about this and help the water stressed areas.
