- Beowulf tears Grendel's arm off forcing him to run away.
- The Danes rejoice that Grendel is dead.
- Grendel's mother came to Herot to get revenge for her son.
- I want my son's arm!
- Beowulf went looking for Grendel's mother.
- Her footprints were seen in the forest
- Beowulf fights against Grendel's mother, but his sword does not work on her.
- Beowulf saw an ancient giant-sword and used it to kill Grendel's mother.
- Beowulf went to find Grendel, and cut off his head.
- Beowulf brings his trophies to Hrothgar.
