- Looking at the cork up close it looks like it is made of little cells.
- Anton Von Leeuwenhoek
- I have examined many cells, including bacteria which I will call Animalcules because they look like tiny animals.
- Robert Brown
- Everyone! I have discovered that cells contain what I call a nucleus!
- Robert Hooke was the person who discovered the cell. He discovered the cell by looking at a cork through a microscope.
- Matthias Schleiden
- Fellow Scientist I have discovered that all plant tissue and plants are made out of cells.
- Anton Von Leeuwenhoek was the first to examine many cells including bacteria and red blood cells. He called the bacteria animalcules because they looked like mini animals to him.
- Theodor Schwann
- It seems as though that this cow and all other animals are made out of cells just like plants.
- Robert Brown was the scientist who discovered the Nucleus.

- Did you know that I just recently came up with the idea that all cells come from prexisting cells.
- Matthias Schleiden was a German scientist who discovered that all plants were made out of cells.
- That is an amazing discovery!
