Storyboard Text
- After rambling about the countryside, Ponyboy had lost track of time.
- Hey, it's getting quite late now, you should be heading back home.
- He knew Darry would be upset with him, but he arrived as quickly as he could. The porch light was on. It made him even more nervous then he already was.
- Soda was sleeping on the sofa and Darry was reading the newspaper. Just the sight of him made Ponyboy's heart skip a beat. He was immediately bombarded with questions.
- It didn't take long for them to begin shouting at each other. All the commotion woke Soda from his sleep. he tried to calm Darry down a bit, but it didn't seem to work. All it did was make Darry scream at him
- I'm sick and tired of you standing up for him all the time! He needs to take responsibility for his actions.
- Seeing Soda getting yelled at was just enough to fuel Ponyboy with anger. Out of rage he screams right back at Darry. Yet, he shuts him right back up with a slap to the face.
- It's so quiet you could hear a pin drop. no one had ever layed a hand on another family member before. Darry had started to say something, but he couldn't finish. Ponyboy was already out the door. He had made up his mind about Darry, and didn't want to see him ever again.
