- Nathan has just reached John's home after a grueling journey.
- Nathan!? What are you doing here?
- Not anymore! I'm taking it from you!
- How exactly are you going to do that?
- Simple, by killing you!
- Woah, you're going to kill me for my home? Not if I kill you first!

- John grabs out his machete and blocks out Nathan's swing.
- Nathan leaps towards John, who’s handling the machete like a pro, he doesn’t want to hurt Nathan unless he really has to.
- I'm not going to fight back, I don't want to hurt you.
- WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING!?
- Haaa, take that!
- Nathan got one direct hit to John’s shoulder , John boiled over with anger and fought back.
- Finally! You actually fight me!
- Nathan in a stroke of dumb luck knocks the machete out of his hand and stabs John.
- I thought you were a pro at using your weapon, clearly you're not! You’re worthless and pathetic as your lost puppy!

- DON'T EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!
- As soon as John heard those words his wounds started to close and heal themselves, and he gained a blue aura surrounding him.

- BAAAAM!
- John punched Nathan so hard that he shoots up like a rocket soaring away.
- .
- The blue aura begins to slowly fade away and John falls to his knees and passes out.
- I wonder if Nathan is fine, I haven’t seen him in over a year and I just feel like maybe I killed the only other person on the planet.
- It’s been a year since John defeated Nathan and he’s happily living his new-normal life.
- I need to find Nathan, I can’t keep burying this horrible thought forever.
- John held that thought down for another year, until he couldn’t take it anymore.
- John gathered his supplies and set out to find Nathan.
- Nathan? Nathan? Where are you? Where is he?
- Throughout the trip, his mind wandered to the idea that Nathan could exact revenge and kill him, but he pushed that thought aside and moved forward.
- I went to his home and the pond but he's gone. Where else could he be?
- Aaaaahh!
- Nathan was in the ruins of an old building, looking for supplies. John was searching for Nathan, he heard the sound of something falling and yelling. John started sprinting like a racehorse towards that noise.
- Nathan, I’m coming! I'm sorry. Where are you? Are you in there?
- Please, John, I’m so sorry. Please don’t kill me.
- John saw Nathan and he instantly became anxious. There were so many mixed emotions that he couldn’t understand: happiness, fear, anger, and regret.
- What 're you talking about? I'm not here to kill you! I got worried, you haven’t been back to my home in over 2 years!
- Look man, I’m sorry for beating you up; it's just that I didn’t want to lose my home or water. I was selfish.
- I was beyond terrified to approach you again after our last encounter!
- I’m sorry for trying to force you out of your home.
- John and Nathan forgave each other for their horrible past actions and agreed to cohabitate in order to survive in this desert-like place.
- John and Nathan packed supplies and traveled back to John's home.
- Hey John, thanks for letting me stay here and share the supplies.
- It’s what we should've done. We’re the last of humanity, and we need to stick together for a fighting chance to survive.
- The world’s unexpected catastrophic ending and Nathan almost dying put things into perspective for John and Nathan. They finally put aside their differences and worked together as a team.
