- In World War One, chemical weapons such as mustard gas were much more common.
- When the war was over, the Geneva Conventions were signed, which restricted the use of chemical weapons.
- Don't use them.
- When World War Two came around, all the European countries couldn't use chemical weapons because they signed the Geneva Conventions.
- I don't really want to recreate the Holocaust in this fashion. Feels disrespectful
- The Japanese, however used chemical weapons against the Chinese during the Second Sino-Japanese war, which was at the same time as World War Two.
- The Nazis also lightly used chemical weapons towards the end of the war, but usually didn't because Hitler was paranoid about the allies retaliating with their own.
- And, of course, the Nazis used chemicals in the Holocaust, which is the deadliest use of poison gas in history.
