- mr.White gets the monkeys paw out of the fire because he wants to use it and Sargent warned him about someone making wishes with it and regretting it so much they wished to die

- mr. White wishes for 200 pounds... and the wife thinks its a joke ( she wishes that as a joke to see if its real) because she doesn't believe in the monkeys paw

- they wish there son to come back to life because the mother feel sad without him so she convinces him to wish him back
- after they had made a wish they heard a knock on the door and was hoping it was there son at the door

- they wish for there son to die again because they don't want the son showing up because they wouldn't know what he would look like because he got caught in the grinder thing
