- Long ago when America was moving into the progressive era two friends, Teddy Roosevelt and William Taft were having an in depth conversation.
- William, my closest and dearest friend, I want you to run for president next election.
- Why, Teddy?
- As you know I can't run for the election and I want you to take my place to make America better.
- Taft wasn't worried about screwing it up. He just wasn't interested in being president.
- I don't know Teddy. What if I screw it up?
- C'mon William. I'm begging you! I'll be by your side the entire time!
- And this sparked Taft to become one of the best presidents the U.S had ever seen.
- Okay, Teddy! I'll run and do my best!
- Taft has won the election and is now the president. He doesn't want this because his lifelong goal is to be on the supreme court.
- Ugh, why did I let Teddy convince me to do this?
- C'mon William! You won because I supported you just like I will support you the entire time you're president
- Okay Teddy, I'll try to be as good as you.
- This sparked Taft to be his own man and be better than Teddy. In the end he broke 75 trusts compared to Teddy's 44.
- Okay! I'll Try my best!
- You'll do better than me bud!
