- Introduction to PSA
- Have you ever not worn something because it was "too girly" or "too boyish"? And if so how did that make you feel?
- The Experience of Teenagers at SJHHS Being Gender Stereotyped
- How Teenagers' Mental Health is Effected by Gender Stereotyping
- The question asked above will be playing for 04.0 seconds each with green and purple colored backgrounds. The words will be in the font called "Mystery Quest". There will be transitions in both the words and photos along with some instrumental alternative rock music playing gently in the background.
- Teenagers Being Comfortable with Being Themselves
- Consider how happy you may be when you are yourself rather than the person society wants you to be.
- Dialogue: "What was your experience with being gender-stereotyped?"The three students will answer the questions by telling the camera what their experience has been like. The camera will be zoomed in with the responses of the students in the background. The background will be scattered with blue and pink polka dots.
- The Effect of Gender Stereotyping
- Dialogue: "How did being gender stereotyped affect your mental health"Each student will give their response to the question while the camera focuses on their faces. The background will also be filled with blue and pink polka dots.
- Ending of the PSA
- A clip of three teenage girls will appear on the screen. These three girls have happy expressions on their faces and are laughing amongst themselves. They are also wearing loose comfortable clothing that they like. There will be an instrumental tropical indie-pop song playing gently in the background while there are leaves and trees surrounding them.
- The words above will be shown on the screen with no voice-over or dialogue. The letters will be in white while the background will be black to represent sadness. There will also be a flashlight shining the letters. At the end of this clip, the letters will disappear.
- Your comment can affect the way ones sees themselves
- In this clip there will be a piece of paper and written on it will be "gender norms/ stereotypes". The paper will be safely burned with a lighter while there is instrumental rock music playing loudly in the background. The camera is zoomed in and focused on the paper. When the clip is finished the paper will be in flames.
