- Jane died after getting puerperal fever. Henry went on to marry three other women in his life, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Katherine Parr. When Henry died in 1547, his son Edward took the throne.

- After Edward died during his teenage years, his half-sister Mary took over. She wanted the English Church to be Catholic again and burned hundreds of Protestants at the stake for heresy.
- After Mary has died, Elizabeth, Henry's only surviving child, is now the Queen.
- Queen Elizabeth made Latin the language of the Anglican service, restored the Book of Common Prayer to make it more acceptable to catholics, affirmed the monarch the head of the Anglican Church, and sket many Catholic rituals. Her policy of compromise was later known as the Elizabethan settlement.
