- Deet, a young girl gelfling, was chosen to share the truth about Thra's rular's the Skesis.
- Got to save the gelfling!
- Hup, a podling, saves Deet from a spitter,(huge spider) and befriends her.
- Do you know where Ha'ar is?

- A young guard, Rian, saw the evil of the Skesis when his love, Mira was drained of her essense.
- How could the Skesis drain Mira?!
- Deet leaves her home the Caves of Grot, to convince the other 6 clans that the Skeksis do not care; they are creatures of evil.
- As Rian runs he mourns for Mira's death.
- Since Hup is going to Ha'ar, Deet comes with him since it is her mission to warn the All-Maudra about the darkening.
- A young princess, Brea, reads in the library and finds out about the Skesis.
- Rian leaves the castle, and he is said to be a traitor. Rian also saw the Crystal of Truth; corrupted! The Crystal controls Thra. Rian runs away also planning to share the evil of the Skesis through DREAM FASTING!
- However, her mother , The All-Maudra, is still not seeing the evil.
- Rian wants revenge. He vows to destroy the Skeksis.
