- Losing is not the end of the world, Wilma. What matters is how you deal with it.

- If losing destroys you, it’s all over. But if you can pick yourself up and try to win the next one, you could be a champion someday. I mean that.

- Coach Ed Temple has invited you to train with his track team at Tennessee State University.
- This girl is Wilma Rudolph and she is crying because she lost every game she was in. This man is Coach Gray and he is trying to cheer her up.
- Scene 6
- Why? I lost every race I ran today.
- Because he can see what I see:You’re a fighter.
- However, Coach Gray made feel more bad. So, Wilma stares at her feet when she heard about what Coach Gray said. Coach Gray tries again to cheer her up.

- Wilma wipes her tears and Coach Gray said that Coach Temple wants her on his team.

- Wilma doesn't understand why she is going to Coach Temple's team because she lost every games she played today. Coach Gray replied that Coach Temple can see what I see: You're a fighter.
- A fighter?
- Wilma was confused about this statement that Coach Gray said and Coach Gray asked a question.
- Yes, a fighter. So are you going to Tennessee State University and win the game?
- Wilma answered with a positive answer and ran off.
- Yes and I will win a game. Thank you so much for helping me.
