- Mommy, come quick
- I think we'd better get downstairs before those kids spend too much time with those damned beasts again
- Daddy, quick!
- Wendy?
- Peter!
- Now, don’t be silly, children. It’s time to go.
- "Just then [George and Lydia] heard the children calling." (Bradbury 12).
- “[George and Lydia] went downstairs ... and ran down the hall. The children were nowhere in sight.” (Bradbury 12).
- “They ran into the nursery. The veldt was empty save for the lions waiting, looking at them … [t]he door closed loudly.” (Bradbury 12).
