- What is written in the Law and how do you read it?
- Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself

- That is correct! Do those things and you will live.
- A man was going from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers.

- They stripped him of his clothes and beat him.
- After they had beaten him they left him there half dead.
- A priest happened to go down the same road, and when he saw the man he walked past him.
- Then a Levite came down the same road and walked past the man also.
- But a Samaritan saw the man and took pity on him.
- The Samaritan bandaged the mans wounds, pouring oil and wine on them.
- Then the Samaritan put the man on his donkey and took him to an inn to take care of him.
- Look after him and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expenses you may have.
- The next day the Samaritan took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said...
- Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who was beaten?
- The one who had mercy on him.
