- Human uses energies such as fossil fuels to generate electricity, lights, heat, transportation, and so on.
- Over the last 150 years, burning of fossil fuels are the largest source of greenhouse gases emitted from factories generated by human activities.
- The excess of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will trap heat from the sun, causing to increase the earth's temperature.
- The increase of earth's temperature leads to faster melting of glaciers and permafrost.
- Global warming is causing the permafrost that last for 40,000 years to thaw.
- Sea level has been increase 1-2 mm each year caused by global warming and melting of glaciers. The glaciers and ice sheet in some areas become even less stable.
