Mitosis

- The purpose of mitosis is to grow, heal, repair, and lastly but definitely not least replace.
- During the interphase, the DNA replicates at the end of the interphase and this is the phase where the cells spend most of their time and do normal cell jobs like getting proteins. The interphase happens first, and is before the prophase.
- Interphase
- The prophase is when the sister chromatids condense to make it easier to continue the process. During the prophase, the newly formed chromosomes go to different sides of the cell. The nucleus then is deleted from existence.
- Prophase
- During the metaphase the sister chromosomes lineup in the middle of the cell so that it is easier for the next phase which is anaphase to happen.
- Metaphase
- During the anaphase, the sister chromosomes go away from the middle and go to opposite poles of the cell.
- Anaphase
- During the telophase, the chromosomes reform a nucleus and those nuclei are on opposite poles of the cell.
- Telophase
- During the cytokines phase, the chromosomes uncoil and become chromatid again, the new cells that are formed are identical sister diploid cells
