- I struggled with learning Spanish, and felt pressured to learn it under the household I was raised in. Because of this, I began to question my culture as I didn't know if I was enough to be considered Mexican, but also didn't feel American enough.
- It's ok, you'll get it eventually.
- But I don't understand.

- Politics Right Now
- So, the immigration issue is really difficult right now with the upcoming elections.
- Growing up, I was always in the loop about immigration news. Because of many immigration policies that were planted in 2016 in the nation, I faced uncertainty and fear about my permanence in the U.S.A. as I speculated whether my family would be affected by them. I doubted whether I belonged in the country and if I would later be denied certain rights that I should have been entitled to.

- I'm unsure.
- Culturally, I also had many doubts, whether I should be one or the other. I didn't know whether to be Catholic like my parents, or Christian like most Americans. Overall, I didn't know whether to fully take on America's culture, or Mexico's culture. I felt out of place, and felt like I didn't belong to any culture as I wasn't born in Mexico, but I also didn't feel welcomed into America's culture as I come from an immigrant background.
