- After Serbia's newfound independence, they were still unhappy due to the many other Serbians in Bornia, who were still under the control of Austria-Hungary.
- Therefore, they took matters into their own hands and created a terrorist group, named the Black Hand to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary.
- Upon recognising that the first attempt of assassination had failed, the other three panicked and again, failed to do anything
- When the death date arrived, everything soon erupted into chaos. ( read from right to left)
- The third man, Čubrilović, then threw a bomb at the car but failed when he timed it wrongly. He ran off and attempted suicide before realising his assassination attempt had failed.
- The first two men failed to do anything whatsoever
- The gang disbanded and went their separate ways. However, on his way back, Princip was completely taken by surprise when he saw Franz Ferdinand's car right before his eyes.
- In an instant, Princip took out his pistol and shot Ferdinand and his wife, who were later announced dead.
- And with that, a chain reaction sparked. Austria-Hungary instantly blamed Serbia, and declared war on them, marking the beginning of one of the world's most devastating conflicts of all time.
