Children of The Universe
Storyboard Text
- In the beginning, it was bright. Oh, so blindingly bright.
- From the brightness, a child was born, and her name was Pandora.
- when she tried to open her eyes, they were burned by the brightness around her. In her haste to protect her eyes, she lashed out, swinging her arms. Her hands tore the bright in half. She named the bright half Day, and the Dark half night.
- Pandora then decided she was tired, and went to lay down. She shifted about the universe, and found no place to lay. Pandora became upset, and she began to cry. In her tantrum, she tore out a lock of hair, and threw it into the liminal space between Night and Day. She continued to wail, and her tears watered the lock of hair. A woman began to take shape, and Pandora stopped her tear to peer at the being.
- Terra then curled into a ball, and her blue and green hair grew over her brown body, and she died.
- I am Terra. I am a planet
- How is that?
- What are you?
- Pandora grew sad, and in Terra’s honour, she tore out strands of her hair and used the tears left on her face to soak them, and created trees and plants. The tears that went unused became rivers and lakes and oceans.
- All of a sudden, a small hand reached out from the ocean. Pandora scooped the body from the water with a finger, and it started coughing.
- I am Human. And I am hungry
- What are you?
- Here!
- Thank You!
- That is good! But who am I to eat it with?
