- She was later on adopted by her older unmarried fathers sister, Junda Delas Alas bec-ause of financial reasons
- She earned a mass communication degree from Far Eastern University (FEU) in 1985.

- In 1991 she had her first child with her ex boyfriend, Rey Mal-tezo dela Cruz
- In order to raise her child she worked in a bar as a stand up comedy
