  • In the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" two men live together and the narrator said "I love the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me an insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye!" It also says that "I made up my mind to take the life of the old man." This shows that the narrater wants to kill the old man beause of his eye.
  • Falling Action
  • In the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" The narrator has a plan to kill the old man by "I was never kinder to the old man than during the whole week before I killed him." Also in the story it says that "Every night, after midnight, I turned the latch of his door and opened it." "Then, when I had made an opening sufficent for my head." Then the narreator would also shine a light out of a lateren on the old man's eye.
  • Resolution
  • I admit it I did the crime!
  • In the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" the narrator finally kills the old man with a matress in the story it says "I cut off the the head and the arms and the legs." After the limbs were cut off the narrerator stuffed him under the floor boards.
  • The Beginning
  • In the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" the narrator kills the old man and then the police came to the house and then the narrator hears "A rining in my ears." The ringing is actually the old man's heart pounding in the narrators head.
  • In the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" the narrator goes crazy and can't stand the heart pounding inside his head and tells the police "Dissemble me no more! I admit the deed!"
  • I think the beginning is the most suspenseful moment because it is when the narrator is going to tell you his story and starts off by saying "Why would you say that I am mad?" And that is makeing me feel anxious to find out what the narrator did.
