- Phew, finally, I escape the plantation. I don't want to go back again,
- Fredrick feels miserable, he doesn't want to be control by covey anymore. He ran into the woods, he met Sandy Jenkins there, he give him a magical woods, to protect him. He realized he got to go back, because there are no foods in the woods.
- Rising Action
- KEEP WORKING, OR I WILL WHIP YOU!
- You really should go back, here, the magic wood, it will protect you
- No, I belong to no one, I am a free man. No-one can control me.
- Frederick returned to the field. It worked, for that day at least, but the next day Covey was in a bad mood. He grabbed his whip, Frederick was confident with the root though, and when Covey raised the whip, he was ready. He will no longer choose to say nothing, but fight.
- Climax
- Your little black slave, you belong to me! You should work for me until your death.
- After that, Frederick had been slave for 4 more years. He really want to escape. During that time, he had been annoyed by Mr.Covey, but never been whipped again.
- I hope to escape this place as quickly I can.
