Storyboard Text
- Antigone plans on burying their brother, Polyneices. Antigone asks her sister Ismene if she wants to join in. Ismene says no because she doesn't want to break the law.
- I will bury him.
- The law is strong. We must give in to the law.
- Antigone admits to burying her brother that Creon. Creon is mad at her for defying the law. Antigone says his laws are nothing to the laws of God.
- All your strength is weakness itself against the immortal unrecorded laws of God.
- And yet you dared defy the law.
- Haemon and Creon are arguing back and forth about Antigone and her actions. Haemon states that God's law is more important than his own. Creon gets extremely angry.
- You have no right to trample on God's right.
- Fool, adolescent fool!
- Creon announces to Antigone's fiance Hameon that he is going to kill Antigone because she broke the law. Hameon does not agree with Creon and his decision.
- You have reasoned so badly
- Only she has had contempt for my law and broken it. The woman should die
- The chorus states that strength lives in established law. Antigone says to let her go and she wants to be let go so badly. Creon disagrees and tells his guards to take her to the vault.
- Then let me go, since all your words are bitter.
- Chorus: Strength lives in established law,
- Take her to the vault.
- Creon and Choragus decide to go get Antigone and set her free. Creon finally realizes the laws of God are more important and stronger than his.
- The laws of gods are mighty.
- God of many names.
