- Today, James was playing basketball in his neighborhood. He began to sweat a lot.
- When sweating, the immune system filters the toxins out of the body to help maintain homeostasis.
- James slipped and fell and scraped his knee in the process. The blood had bled through her pants so she had to go home.
- When James got home, he changes his shorts and saw that there was an inflammation in his knee. This was caused by the bacteria in the wound.
- Although Jamie had no idea what was going on with his knee, his immune system was working hard to bring his knee back to its original shape.
- A couple days have past and his wound has started to heal and formed a scab. The immune system produces antibodies to the damage tissue and engaged in the process of the wounded heal.
