- Around 567BC, Siddharta Gautama was born into royalty of the Shakya Clan. It was prophesied that he would either be a universal ruler or a great sage, so his father made sure that Siddharta had the best luxuries possible and no exposure to the evil in the world

- However, Siddhartha got to witness 4 things outside the castle that he had never experienced before. A sick man, an old man and a corpse. When he asked about this, he was shocked but he saw a holy man at peace with the world and nature
- This drove Siddhartha to seek the way to escape suffering. He tried 3 different ways to try and do this; 2 with 2 different teachers and 1 where he tried to follow austerity with 5 other companions. However, it didn't work. As a last resort with nothing else to do,he meditated for a nearly a week.
- HE FOUND IT! THE KEY TO ENLIGHTMENT WAS TO ATTAIN NOTHING AND NOT TO STRUGGLE.  DEMONS TRIED TO DISCOURAGE HIM BUT HE WAS TOO POWERFUL! HE BECAME A GOD!
- PRETTY SOON HE HAD A HUGE FOLLOWING AND THEN HE SPENT TIME TEACHING PEOPLE ABOUT THE REVELATIONS HE RECEIVED INCLUDING THE 4 NOBLE TRUTHS
