The British government put a tax on the Americans, saying they have to pay for a stamp on important papers. The Americans protested, by burning stamps, stopping newspapers, and causing riots.

Right after the British got rid of the Stamp act, they made a new law saying that they could tax colonists in the furture, if they desired
Boston Tea Party
This act now allows any British soldier to live in a colonists house. Whomever house they are in must supply them with a place, food, and water.
