- The US beat the British who attacked New Orleans, after the treaty of Ghent was signed. It was a decisive victory for America.
- Missouri Compromise
- Maine and Missouri will be States
- The Treaty of 1818 was a convention between The US and the UK that settled the Canadian-Oregon border situation. It set the 49th parallel as the border between Canada and America.
- Monroe Doctrine is Annouced

- Henry Clay settles the dispute in Congress about Missouri. The 36’ 30’ line as the separation between Slave and free states. Maine and Missouri were added as states.
- Mostly written by John Quincy Adams, this document stated that America will not interfere in European affairs if they don’t mess with the Americas.
- Four candidates, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, and William Crawford are in a heated election. Jackson gets most of the electoral and popular vote so it went to the House of Representatives. Adams won and Lay became the Secretary of State.
