- RISING ACTION
- CONFLICT
- Victor Frankenstein is seen chasing a monster at the North Pole by Robert Walton, an explorer. Robert tends to Victor's bad health as he is extremely weakened by the cold. Victor then begins telling his tragic story.
- CLIMAX
- Victor developed interest in the creation of life during his studies at university. He soon gathered old body parts to bring a creature to life but was frightened to see the hideousness it had. Due to terror, he forsook his own creation and instead began to hate it.
- FALLING ACTION
- The monster then wandered the countryside to find love and solace but was always rejected. Blaming this all on to his creator, he got furious and decided to take revenge from him.
- RESOLUTION
- The monster killed Victor's brother, William. He then forced Victor to make a female companion for him. When at the eleventh hour, Victor destroyed her, the monster killed his best friend, Henry, and also his wife, Elizabeth, on the wedding night.
- Out of extreme rage, Victor began his search for the monster towards the North pole. He however failed to catch him. That was when he was found by Robert Walton. Soon after opening up about his life story, he died.
- The monster was surprisingly seen by Robert weeping over his creator's body. He had decided to kill himself as well. Having closely witnessed the consequences of the love for science, Robert terminated his sea expedition and returned back to his land.
