- Say Mary, what are you sewing?
- Mary Warren, an official member of the court, sits making a poppet, with Abigail Williams beside her. Little does Mary know that Abigail is devising a sinister plan.
- Why Abigail it is a poppet. It is a gift for Goody Proctor.
- Ugh, what does Abigail want now?
- Oh, Goody Proctor you say? I have something to make the gift even better.
- Here. Take this needle. Put it inside the poppet.
- This is it, I can finally get John all to myself.
- Mary, listen.
- What.... why on God's earth would I do that Abby? I can't do that Abby!
- JUST do it Mary, or I will come at you with a pointy vengeance! And tell no one!
- What?
- Fine....
- NO!
- I can't believe Abby is making me do this. I love Goody Proctor, but I know what Abby will do if I say no. And oh how Mr. Proctor will react when he finds out. I pray to God for strength.
- *Singing can be heard inside the church*
- Mary Warren, knowing how John Proctor will react, hopes that Elizabeth accepts the gift with open arms. She also knows that she must clear up some other matters about the town...
- Alright, this is it. Forgive me Father.
- The Proctor's were having an argument about John's affair, when Mary walks in through the door, poppet in hand.
- Why Mary, how thoughtful. It is a fair poppet. Reminds me of when I was just a little girl!
- Pray, pray Mr. Proctor, for now I am an official member of the court. And everyone's talking witchcraft! Anyway, I made a gift for you Elizabeth. I spent hours sewing it myself.
- Mary, I forbid you go to Salem, and you go anyway? What do you have to say for yourself?!
- Elizabeth Proctor, Abigail were found to be stabbed by a needle. She claims you did it. You are under arrest. I'm sorry.
- Later that day, Herrick and Cheever come to arrest Elizabeth for suspected Witchcraft.
- I cannot charge murder on Abigail Mr. Proctor! She'll kill me!!
- No! It were my poppet, not Goody Proctor's! I put the needle in!
- Why... oh my.... A NEEDLE! A needle Herrick!
- Mary! Tell them the truth! Abigail is a liar! You must charge her for murder!!!
