- Montressor and Fortunao meet with eachother after a night out on a Carnival night. Fortunado is depicted to be carrying a wine glass.
- Montressor manipulates his way into Fortunado's wine cellar to taste his Amontillao. Fortunado at this point unlocks the doors.

- Fortunado is leading Montressor to his wine celler down the long stair case. During this, Montressor is gassing Fortunado's amontillado up.

- Montressor keeps making snarky comments, Fortunado doesn't suspect a thing.
- Montressor comments about Fortunado's cough. Fortunado says he has nothing to worry about.
- Montressor and Fortunado finally make it to the wine barrels and Montressor gets Fortunado to step into a cubicle. In this cublice, Montressor piles bricks upon bricks and traps Fortunado in there.
