- Zeus!
- The Cyclops began to eat Odysseus's men, they were like "squirming puppies as he beat their brains out, splattering the floor." As he ate them Odysseus pondered killing the Cyclops, but he realized if he did that they all would die due to the bolder blocking the entrance.
- (eating noises)
- Odysseus planned to get Polyphemus intoxicated with gifted wine in order for him and his men to injure the sorry fool, but when more cyclopes asked Polyphemus what was wrong, Odysseus trick name "Nohbdy" had fooled them and raised no alarm.
- "Nohbdy's tricked me, Nohbdy's ruined me!"
- Sweet cousin ram why lag behind? You must be sad, grieving for your master’s eye, now blinded, thanks to that evil fellow and his crew. That Nobody destroyed my wits with wine.
- Odysseus and his men had escaped by tying themselves to the bellies of Polyphemus' fat ram. Odysseus, being the last to leave, was on the leader of the ram and was stopped by the cyclops due to him lacking behind the rest, but was able to escape with the others.
