- Jude continues to be overwhelmed by the thoughts of Stella. She finally takes action. As Brit Bennett states, ¨By the end of Jude´s first two weeks as the newest usher at the Stardust Theatre, she´d already learned two main things about Kennedy Sanders¨ (Bennett 263). In order for Jude to get the opportunity to meet with Stella, she uses the easiest resource, her daughter. Jude then gets a job where Kennedy works, hoping for Stella to see Kennedy´s show so she can tell her who she is.
- What Actions Does Jude Take
- As Jude returns to Mallard with her mom, Desiree, she is looked at sideways by the town. Author Brit Bennett states, ¨She was holding the hand of a girl, seven or eight, and black as tar. ¨Blueblack¨'he said. ¨Like she flown direct from Africa¨(Bennett 3). Jude is a dark-skinned girl, which is why she is described as blue-black and disliked by the town. Even throughout the story, an important part of Jude´s overall character is that she´s dark.
