- When Ariel suddenly became a terrifying bird and began to scare them and judge them for wanting to kill Prospero, all the men soon repented and apologized.
- When Ariel returned to the cave, he told Prospero that the men were very sorry, so Prospero asked to take them to the cave to talk. In addition, Ariel said that Stephano and Caliban wanted to murder the magician, so he put new clothes on the cave floor so that when the 2 arrived they were distracted, and so it happened, Stephano put on the clothes which generated a disagreement between him and Caliban, and this was the perfect cue for Prospero to release magical dogs to catch the killers.
