Storyboard Text

  • Hey, I was wondering how images were shown our devices.
  • Yes please!
  • Oh! I know about that, I can explain it to you!
  • Ooh, okay!
  • First, you need to know what binary numbers are!
  • Binary numbers is a numbering system in technology that includes only two values; ‘0’ and ‘1’!
  • Hmm, that sounds pretty confusing.
  • Okay, let me take you back to the start
  • Each colour has its own binary code that is entered into the computer system. That’s how every pixel has its own individual code and colour.
  • Each image that shows on your computer screen is made up of a bunch of pixels that are coloured differently.
  • The binary code tells the pixels what colour hue to use so that the colours are all different. The red and blue hue could be higher but the yellow very low, making a purple.
  • When you look at a screen, millions of pixels light up forming different colours.
  • Yeah! Thank you so much, now I understand!
  • And that's how computers encode images! Do you get it now?
