- Hi! I'm Anne, a social worker from Children's Aid and I am here to tell you what an adoption family is.
- Adoption family is a family who welcomes a child born to another family into their family and legally adopts that child as their own. Adoption family is not like a nuclear family, single family, extended family, childless family and stepfamily.
- Adoptive families need to have empathy, energy, patience and a sense of humour when adopting a child.
- Adoptive families need to know what their adoptive child is allergic to, so then they can keep the child healthy.
- Here is a fact about adoption! In 1961 a set of American triplets were adopted as infants by separate families, unaware that each child had brothers.
