- Jessica feels like her life is over and behind all her pain relief for her leg was the face of reality. She's found out that her right leg has no foot and no ankle and she is absolutely devastated for herself. She's doesn't have the strength to hold her tears back and Doctor Wells tells her her surgery went beautifully. She was a runner and that's what she did for a living. Hank which is her prosthetist tries to tell her about s fake leg but she makes him stop. He puts a stump on her leg and Jessica feels throbbing but Hank assures her it'll feel better soon.
- Now Jessica has returned home Sherlock her dog is nudging her away at 5:45 so they can go running but obviously she cant because of her leg. She gets angry at herself because she cant do what she loves. She gets up anyway and throws the ball outside her house so Sherlock and catch it. On the way back into her house she bumps into her sister who gives a grumpy hello. She gets back into bed and hugs her teddy bear and pretends to be asleep while her mum takes her sister to school.
- On Monday in science Jessica gets a note that says report to the office immediately along with doctors appointment. They get to the doctors and wait in the waiting room for almost an hour. Jessica has a checkup and when they get home her mum makes a call and she gets booked for another appt at 10 the next morning. The next morning they go to the reception desk and Jessica tries not to think about her future. They wait in the the waiting room for an eternity and Chloe the receptionist deals with grumpy Mr. Benson. He goes into his room in a wheelchair with a fake leg in his lap looking even more grumpy.
- When Jessica is watching her teams runs and athletics her bully Venessa's mum comes up to her and expresses she's sorry about her leg and keeps hold of her hand. Langston wins the competition because they got 3 points for one race and another one for there 3rd race. After the shock of seeing Venessa's mum she can only think about telling her best friend Fiona then crutches across the track. On the way she sees her crush Gavin and they laugh about how track is contagious. Fiona runs to Jessica breathless and laughs about how pumped she is that she won high jump.
- It was dark outside but the streetlights glowed through the curtains to put the spotlight on Sherlock. He cocks his head up because Jessica wants to go for a run with him even though she cant she wants to try. He is confused when when Jessica tries to run they go left instead of right. She hears her name being called and when she looks she sees a mermaid fountain just like in her dream. Its her friend Rosa and she tells Jessica that she stuck the article that was written about her on her bedroom wall.
- The first day Jessica had her running leg she could not definitely run her usual route she does in her mornings before she lost her leg. She feels like they should both be regular legs. When she gets the hang of it she runs with Fiona and she has sessions with her coach Kyro. The next early morning she has the running dream she's been having for months. She glides across the streets past the family houses to her house. When she gains her strength her and Sherlock run there usual route every morning.
