- This expansion granted the USA a huge chunk of land. The land was bought from France who at the time was facing financial problems.

- This place is nice but thewater is bad.
- Lewis and Clark are walking through Kansas and talking about good things from it. The only thing they do not like is the water.
- I agree.
- This place is to dry for farming.

- This is Pike talking about it's dryness. He thinks that it is unlivable.
- Pike was right, this land is useless.
- Stephan Long agreed with Pike. He too thought that the land that laid upon him was unlivable.

- People we need to send the Indians to the unwanted lands.
- Jackson's speech, this was a negative move on Indians. The things he said about them made people think that they were true savages.
- This is a American telling Indians that they have to move. This caught them by surprise but they knew they had no choice.
