- The Sons Lost Power to Locals

- The Battle of Tours Began

- Charles Martel Died and Pepin became the New Leader
- Since my father died, I get to be the new ruler!
- The Frankish kings who followed Clovis under his rule were weak rules. Instead of keeping their kingdom united the divided amongst their sons. The sons fought over shares of land which caused them using so much energy and time, that they lost power to their local nobles.
- Charles Martel led the Franks into the Battle of Tours. The Battle of the Tours was one of the most battle in history to the Europeans. This battle took place the time 732. The Franks conquered the Berbers and the Arabs during this war. The Arabs and Berbers were both Muslim armies.
- Charles Martel died, his son Pepin became the new mayor of the palace. Pepin removed the kind and started a new dynasty . Pepin became he first Frankish King to be anointed by the Pope. Because of the Church's support, Pepin helped the Pope when he was threatened by the Lombards. The Lombards were a group of Germans. Later on, Pepin
