- Oscar Wilde was born on October 16, 1854. Oscar Wilde died on November 30, 1900. Wilde was born in Ireland’s capital, Dublin. Here are Oscar Wildes siblings in age order, Emily Wilde born in 1847, Mary Wilde born in 1849, Willie Wilde born in 1852, and Isola Wilde born in 1857. As a family they lived in Ireland the whole time. Oscar’s father was a successful surgeon and his mother was great at literature. Since her mother and Oscar shared an interest not only was Oscar able to have a good relationship with his mother, but he also experienced a privileged and cultured childhood.
