Storyboard Text

  • This scene represents Brutus's turning point. In this scene Brutus has stayed up all night justifying his belief that Caesar should die. During this, his servant delivers him a letter, forged by the conspirators, that Rome is soon to be in turmoil and that Brutus needs to awake. This finally turns Brutus into a Conspirator.
  • 
  • This is the scene where the conspirators meet up to discuss their murder plans for Caesar. Here they decide to leave Cicero out of the plan and to not kill Mark Antony. This scene is important for the future and shows Brutus's full commitment. 
  • Here is the scene where Calphurnia receives premonitions about Caesar. Here we see him contemplate this superstition. This is important because we see him acknowledge this and take it seriously.
  • 
  • Here we see Decius rebrand Calphurnia's premonitions into positive ones and lures Caesar to the capital for their plan. This causes Caesar to 180 on his position and somewhat accept them and argues that the gods decide his fate of which cannot be averted. This gives Caesar a sense of arrogance .
  • In this scene Caesar is murdered and Mark Antony leverages his sadness and Brutus's ignorance to give a speech at his funeral that will spark the conspirators demise. Here Brutus doesn't kill Mark Antony because he fears it will bend the will of the people against them because they will seem barbaric and he believes Mark is harmless.
  • In this scene Mark Antony cleverly uses his masterful rhetoric skills to sway the opinion of the people of Rome. This shows the poor decision making of Brutus. Mark also argues that Caesar was a humored and effective leader pointing the good things he did for Rome as well as him rejecting the crown three times. This allows the reader to fully analyze whether killing Caesar was the right thing to do.
