The battle of salamis persian war

- The Greeks and Persians are having a war this is one of the many battles that they had. This is the Battle of Salamis. The king of Spartan and 300 men are fighting thousands of Persian soldiers.
- The Spartans held the Persians off long enough for Athens to get to the navy. But all of the Spartans lost there life in the end.
- Athens created a very strong navy to fight at seas. Their ships had poles to ram into ships and stick to the enemy's ship and then the men ran onto the enemy's ship.
- The Athens navy won against Persia. Xerxes was furious after his defeat.
- Now Athens and the Spartans fight the Persians in the battle of Plataea. It is a tough fight since Persia had more men
- Athens and Sparta won this fight and forced Xerxes back to Persia.
