- Tang Ciaco started beating Baldo. Baldo cried harder. He fell to his knees after several beating and screams for mercy and called his mother to help him. But Nana Elang, with an afraid face, hesitated to help him. Ambo ran to Nana Elang but Tang Ciaco struck the firewood at Ambo and caught him behind knees and fell on his face. Nana Elang ran to Ambo, Tang Ciako pushed Baldo toward her and he returned to their house cursing.
- Take your child! You are all worthless! I can do whatever I like with you because I feed you!
- Afterward Baldo and Ambo searched among the tall corn for the body of the dead puppy. When they found the dead dog, they buried it in one corner of the field.
