- WHAT IS GROUNDWATER?
- Hi.... I am ME.
- And today I will be talking over my teacher, and tell you about groundwater and the thing you should know about it.
- First off, groundwater is water underground, crammed in between the gasps of rocks, soils, and sediments.
- They can be found everywhere beneath the soil surface as it is stores and moves slowly through aquifers.
- There is 65 Quadrillion gallons of groundwater around the 48 states of the United States, and in the rural areas of populations, 97% of them depend on it, as it filters water to drink, and picks up good minerals along with pollution from every place.

- As I said, groundwater supplies drinking water for us to drink, but it is also needed to grow crops, for our food to grow. It is also very important as it plays as a source of recharge for lakes, rivers and wetlands.
- As population continues to grow, more water is being pumped from the ground, making it more difficult for the groundwater to provide us the amount of water that we need.
- As of now, groundwater in storage is decreasing in many areas of the United States from sustained pumping.
- Do not let water run for long if you are not using it! And water that is not drinkable can be used for something else that you may need to use water in.
- In what ways can we save groundwater from decreasing?
- Well... These are some ways that you can use and do to help save groundwater from decreasing more... and with this I go, BYE BYE!
- Well, we can start by using water wisely, only using the amount that you need to use, whether it is for washing the dishes, showering or something else.
- Water from when it's raining could even be gathered to be used later for whatever you need to use it for.
