- Oh ! Is that a pack of wild animals or bluebuck grazing ?
- Bowgh- bowgh, bowgh – bowgh
- But no ! With Jabra around how can any animal possibly enter the field. Jabra would rip it to sheds. Great, no sound now.
- Halku is humming a tune sitting by the warm ashes. The fire had warmed him through, but as the cold began to spread he felt drowsy.
- Jabra ! Jabra ! Jabra ! Where are you ?
- Jabra is giving a loud bark and is running towards the field
- bowgh- bowgh, bowgh – bowgh
- Halku hears the sound of nibbling
- Aha ! What a comfort here. It seems so intolerable to get up from here and go to the field in the cold and chase after animals.
- Halku tries calling Jabra
- Jabra starts barking again and does not come to him.
- Then there is again the sound of munching and crunching in the field. Halku could not have been mistaken this time.
