- Once I got in the car on my way home, I was feeling so overwhelmed with emotions. I almost felt like crying. I was so happy to see my parents after months of not being with seeing how lonely my town was is what I found deeply unsettling.
- Once I was in the car driving home, I felt so overwhelmed.Seeing my parents after months was such an amazing feeling. Seeing my town however, was deeply unsettling
- Dad why are there so many tombstones? Why do I only see men walking around but no girls? What happened while I was gone?
- Unfortunately some of my friends had died during my time away. I had no idea how to react, so I began to cry out the words that would not leave my mouth. I told my parents I needed time to think, and so I left.
- We stopped by the cemetery because my parents had to show me something that I knew would break my heart.
- We're so sorry sweetie
- Why...how did this happen?
- As I sat there I thought to myself how my life wouldn’t be the same. But I challenged myself to share my memories with others to relive the amazing times in my life
