- Not exactly. There is a whole field-digital law- which strives to keep folks from doing whatever they want!
- Not only is digital law legitimate; it's crucial to society's productive use of the internet.
- The bot is workin--Oh, I mean, yeah, that all sounds great. I'm gonna go tell my friends all about it.
- *yawn* Oh yeah? What "crucial" thing does digital law accomplish?
- Uh huh. Totally listening.
- Well, to start with, digital law deals with copyright issues, which keep people from passing off someone else's online creations as their own.
- With so many content creators online, intellectual properties have become just as important and real as physical property!
- Digital laws also protect constitutional rights like freedom of expression. They help regulate e-commerce and online business procedures, too!
- Privacy is also a key issue in digital law. People have a right not to be tracked or have their information sold without their consent.
- I mean, I could've listened more carefully, but it's not like he said there were laws about online gambling. All I did was have a bot place bets for me...
