- Act 1 Scene 2 and Act 2 Scene 1 Here, Brutus was conflicted with staying loyal to Caesar or protecting the greater good of Rome. Noticing his dilemma, Cassius decides to manipulate Brutus' mind by slandering the reputation of Caesar. This was the beginning of Brutus conspiring against Caesar.

- Act 2 Scene 2Calpurnia had a dream that foreshadowed Caesar's death. While trying to convince him to stay home, Brutus Decius, a conspirator, convinces Caesar in would show weakness not to come to the senate, and due to his big ego, Calpurnia was ignored. If only he listened.
- That's stupid! Don't you feel so foolish Calpurnia.
- In my dream your statue has a bunch of holes and is spewing blood! And and the people are washing their hands with your blood! Caesar, you cannot go to the senate!
- Act 3 Scene 1The senators, who are of the same rank as Caesar, ask him to release some of his power by vetoing his punishment on Metellus Cimber's brother. He refuses, finalizing the conspirators' decision to end him before Rome is destroyed
